This section of garden plants starting with the letter K, includes biennials, perennials, bulbs and shrubs, bedding plants, flowers.

 Kalmia - Evergreen flowering shrubs with masses of white or pink flowers - Prefer acid soils - good companion for the Rhododendrons and Erica group.

  • Kerria Kerria japonica in two basic forms - either the double flowered K.j flore plene, or the basic Kerria japonica. Variegated form known as Kerria Picta.
  •  Kirengeshoma - a little-known clump forming hardy perennial with tubular trumpet flowers pendant on dainty arching purple red stems. Attractive palmate leaves.

Kitaibela;

  • Knautia - Sometimes known as Scabiosa. Normally with double dark purple flowers atop spindly stems. Unusual.
  • Kniphofia - Best known as Red Hot Pokers - well used in herbaceous borders or as stand-alone clump specimens. Gold and orange forms now available - and also compact or dwarf types.

 Koeleria; Koelreuteria;

  •  Kolkwitzia - Aptly named Beauty Bush with its masses of mainly pink flowers. Deciduous shrub with flower-laden arching branches in early summer.
