arching purple red stems. Attractive palmate leaves.
- Knautia - Sometimes known as Scabiosa.
Normally with double dark purple flowers atop spindly stems.
- Kniphofia - Best known as Red Hot Pokers -
well used in herbaceous borders or as stand-alone clump specimens.
Gold and orange forms now available - and also compact or dwarf

- Kolkwitzia - Aptly named Beauty Bush with
its masses of mainly pink flowers. Deciduous shrub with flower-laden
arching branches in early summer.
