As if June wasn't enough for us all, everything gets a new helping hand. Most of the June perennials will still be in flower of sorts, but are now joined by a new wave of flowering plants for July. The added warmth - hopefully - will bring even more new colours to the riot that was June. Perennials will generally look good - as will the grasses which are coming through ready for their turn a little later.
Keep your note pads to hand please for we need you all still to keep the 'sightings' of flowers in July to add to our growing list of seasonal plants. Tender flowering plants start to come into their own with the bedding schemes and hanging baskets displays, but there is still plenty to admire with the permanent residents of our gardens. The shrubs, trees, perennials, bulbs and of course the alpines.
This Flowertime Project could not have been possible without our visitors and collaborators. Please join in the 'fun' of finding plants that will be of interest for this section of plants flowering in July - a mammoth undertaking for which we need your continued help.
These are just a few of the July flowering plants that you may come across.
